A day ago, news reports were abuzz with the demise of actor-politician Vijaykanth, a very respected actor and political leader, followed by which many of his colleagues expressed their condolences. Rajinikanth, who was shooting for his next titled Vettaiyan with Fahadh Faasil in Nagercoil, came across this news and decided to halt his work commitments to attend the last rites of his late friend. Amid this, photos of the two actors shooting for the film has found its way on social media and going viral.

Rajinikanth was shooting for Vettaiyan in Nagercoil when he came across the news of Vijaykanth’s demise. Popular journalist Ramesh Bala took to social media to reveal how the megastar decided to cancel the shoot to take out time and meet the grieving family in Chennai and took off to the Tamil Nadu capital. “#SuperstarRajinikanth canceled his movie #Vettaiyan shoot in Nagerkovil and is rushing back to Chennai to pay his homage to Captain #Vijayakanth”, he said in this post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Meanwhile, it seems that the fanclubs of Rajinikanth caught him shooting with Pushpa fame Fahadh Faasil at the location. The photos were posted on the same platform and needless to say, it has garnered a lot of attention. The pictures seem to have been captured during a behind the scenes moment as the two actors were seen prepping for an upcoming sequence.

From what we hear, Vettaiyan has been on floors for quite some time and is being shot across several locations including Trivandrum and Tuticorin. The TJ Gnanavel directorial is one of the most highly anticipated films since it boasts of an ensemble cast which includes Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, among others along with Amitabh Bachchan playing a pivotal character too.
