Actress Nidhhi Agerwal, who has been a part of Bollywood and South films, recently lodged a complaint with the cybercrime cell against an online perpetrator revealing that he has been harassing and threatening her and her family. While the authorities have assured the actress to take strict action, they have maintained that they are currently investigating the matter. For the unversed, Nidhhi will be making a comeback to the big screen after 3 years with two major releases.

Nidhhi Agerwal accuses online user of cyber harassment, criminal intimidation, and defamation

The complaint filed by the actress was posted online and according to the same, the social media user had ‘repeatedly posted abusive comments’ on her Instagram handle. She further revealed how she was also ‘tagged’ in these comments, further accusing the perpetrator of abusing her family as well as near-and-dear ones. She further insisted that the user issued death threats to her and shared some statements used by him which read, “I will find and kill her within 10 years”, “I will end everything in your life” etc.

Further, Nidhhi accused him of causing damage to her reputation and using defamatory language. In her complaint, she mentioned that the user was seeking revenge because he believed that the actress had wasted his time and caused emotional harm. She insisted that these statements were made with an aim to ‘cause real harm’ and included allegations of stalking and intimidation. She also mentioned in her statement that this has ‘caused her mental distress, fear, and anxiety for her safety and her family’.

About Nidhhi Agerwal

The actress, who made her film debut with Munna Michael alongside Tiger Shroff, was last seen in the 2022 Tamil action thriller Kalaga Thalaivan. The actress is expected to return films this year with two films – Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab and Pawan Kalyan starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit in the pipeline for release.
