Ever since the second phase of the vaccination drive began on March 1, more and more celebrities are coming forward to take the shot. Film celebrities including Kamal Haasan, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher recently took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. On Wednesday morning, Malayalam film superstar Mohanlal also shared a picture of himself taking the COVID-19 vaccination.
Mohanlal took to his Twitter handle to share two pictures of himself clicked at the Amrita Hospitals. In one picture he is seen getting inoculated. In the other he is seen flashing the victory sign in the backdrop of a wall where he has signed confirming his vaccination.
Sharing the picture, Mohanlal wrote, “Took the First Shot of Covid Vaccine from Amrita Hospital. I thank GOI, companies which are producing the Vaccine & the Medical fraternity, including hospitals, for the assistance in d Vaccination Drive.”

The vaccine is eligible for any Indian citizen aged above 60 and people who are aged above 45 and have comorbidities.
On the work front, Mohanlal was last seen in the super hit film Drishyam 2 which was released last month on Amazon Prime Video. He will next be seen in the film Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham which will be released on May 13 in theatres.
