On May 21, Mohanlal, who turned 64, is all set to return with his popular franchise Lucifer. On his birthday, the makers of the upcoming L2: Empuraan including the director Prithviraj Sukumaran, decided to share a special treat for his fans. They unveiled a new glimpse of this upcoming action entertainer wherein he is seen marking his return as Stephen Nedumballi, alias, Khureshi Abram.

Fans of Mohanlal have been appreciating the actor’s look from the much-awaited entertainer where he is looking suave. The dapper avatar comprises of the Malayalam superstar sporting an all-black look with matching sunglasses as he is highlighted in the poster amid a crowd. Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran decided to wish the beloved Lalettan on his birthday with this special poster and took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to share this photo saying, “Happy birthday Laletta! #KhureshiAbraam #L2E #HappyBirthdayMohanlal”. Along with that they also announced that this new version will be releasing in multiple languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu.

For the unversed, the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer created much uproar among audiences with the film gaining acclaim across the country. The action entertainer featured Mohanlal as a feared gangster with a kind heart who will do anything to protect his loved ones. The sequel will also feature Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, among others who were also an integral part of the first installment. Readers would be aware that Prithviraj has been shooting the film not only in India but also in foreign locales. It is yet to be seen if the actor will be making a special appearance in the sequel too, like the way he had in the 2019 entertainer.
