It featured Mannara Chopra alongside her Thiragabadara Saami filmmaker AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary wherein the latter was seen kissing her cheek without her consent. Many netizens, who came across the clip, slammed the filmmaker and accused him of harassment. Reacting to these trolls and backlash, Mannara Chopra clarified on it, further asserting that Ravi Kumar’s intention was not wrong.

Mannara Chopra took to her social media platform to share a video where she is seen talking about the film. She posted it along with a caption that read, “Didn’t know that the promotion of my film will take an unexpected turn. Everything I wanted to express is already covered in the video above. I kindly request media outlets to respect my need for space; I’m not ready to share further details at this moment.”

Earlier today, Mannara Chopra was snapped at the Mumbai airport wherein she opened about the controversy and said, “Whatever news is getting viral, I think the director loved my work in the film. They keep calling me even when we are not shooting. I think he just got over-excited. I was taken by surprise by the way the video picked up." She also went on to continue, "My film is releasing. It is a good film and I am so looking forward to its release. Whatever the incident was, he just did it out of excitement. There are times when people get excited and don't realise what they are doing. I have always loved the South industry. People have always loved me there. I don't think he had any wrong intentions."
