Maniyarayile Asokan produced by Dulquer Salmaan to release on Onam : Bollywood News

The Malayalam film Maniyarayile Asokan is the first film Dulquer Salmaan's production house Wayfarer Films had started production on. The film starring Anupama Parmeshwaran, Jacob Gregory and Sunny Wayne is directed by Shamzu Zayba.

Dulquer Salmaan took to his Twitter handle to announce that the film will be released on Netflix on the occasion of Onam which falls on August 31. “It is going to be an exciting #Thiruvonam for us at Wayfarer Films as #ManiyarayileAsokan is being released on @NetflixIndia on Monday August 31st. The film is special for a number of reasons and I am super proud of the team that put together this sweet quirky love story,” Dulquer wrote.

On their Facebook page, Wayfarer Films announcing the release wrote, “Maniyarayile Asokan was the first movie we started production on and for the very reason, it is extremely special to us. With a bunch of newcomers and a bunch of seasoned actors, the entire process was a huge learning experience. Now with the movie dropping on Netflix on August 31st, the day of Thiruvonam, we have butterflies in our tummy. We are excited and nervous all at once. We hope you will enjoy our quirky love story.”
