Malaikottai Vaaliban: Teaser of Mohanlal starrer retains the mysterious elements of the film : Bollywood News

Ever since the announcement, fans of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal are eager to know more about Malaikottai Vaaliban. With the actor building up the anticipation for a teaser announcement since last week, curiosity was at an all-time high. However, it seems that fans were a tad bit disappointed with the teaser hardly giving us any details of the storyline the film will explore. However, having said that, it does give us an entry into a different world and era.

Readers would be aware that Malaikottai Vaaliban is a period drama set against the time period of ancient India. The film will feature Mohanlal in a never-seen-before role and recently the teaser gave us a sneak peek into his character wherein he will be seen sporting long hair and ethnic attires. Apart from showcasing Mohanlal in the role of a wrestler, the teaser also reveals that the film will feature some intense action sequences and Mohanlal is seen saying the dialogue, “What you have seen by far are only lies, but what you will see now is the truth.”

Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by P. S. Rafeeque, Malaikottai Vaaliban is produced by John & Mary Creative (in their maiden production), along with Century Films, Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments, Yoodlee Films, and Amen Movie Monastery. With music composed by Prashant Pillai, the film has been shot across multiple locations in India which includes Rajasthan, Chennai, and Pondicherry. The film also stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, Manikandan R. Achari, Hariprashanth Varma, Katha Nandi, Andrea Ravera, Manoj Moses, Sanjana Chandran, Suchithra Nair, Rajeev Pillai, among others.

The film is scheduled for release in theatres worldwide on January 25, 2024 in multiple languages including Hindi.
