The wait is finally over for Prabhas fans! The makers of Kannappa dropped the poster of superstar Prabhas, offering a tantalizing glimpse into one of the most anticipated projects starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. While it is known that movie boasts of some impressive cameos – among them is the character of Prabhas which remains shrouded in mystery. However, giving a sneak peek of the same, the makers have now unveiled the poster along with his character name - Rudra.

Makers unveil FIRST LOOK on February 3

The makers took to social media to unveil the poster which features him in the guise of a hermit, his matted hair flowing wildly, his forehead smeared with sacred chandan, gripping a crescent moon staff that hints at divine power and celestial energy. Set to be seen in a prominent role, Prabhas commands reverence with his intense rugged look, evoking awe and mystique. The post was shared along with the caption, “Om The Mighty ‘Rudra’ Om”. “Unveiling Darling-Rebel Star @actorprabhas as '??????????' ??, a force of divine strength, wisdom, and protector in #Kannappa. Embark on an extraordinary journey of devotion, sacrifice, and unwavering love,” the post read further.

About Kannappa and its cameos

This grand retelling of Kannappa delves deep into our history, bringing to life the extraordinary journey of Kannappa Nayanar, a revered Shaivite saint known for his unyielding devotion to Lord Shiva. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Mohan Babu, the film is set to blend traditional storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create an awe-inspiring visual spectacle. Promising stunning visuals, intricate set designs, and compelling performances, the film is expected to showcase an epic narrative of devotion and heroism.

Kannappa’s teaser was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival by Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, and Prabhu Deva. Along with Vishnu Manchu in and as Kannappa, the film features Preity Mukhundhan as the leading lady along with Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prabhas in key roles. It is set to release worldwide on April 25, 2025 in multiple languages.
