Kanguva producer Gnanavel Raja assures audiences about ‘reducing the noise’ as the Suriya starrer faces sound issues in theatres : Bollywood News

After audiences took to social media to complain about the extensive noise they have been experiencing in theatres while watching Kanguva, producer Gnanavel Raja has assured them about taking action to resolve the issue. While audiences blamed the music director of the film Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad for the loud music, Raja has also gone to clarify further on the issue stating that the problem has been arising due to inappropriate sound mixing.

On Friday, we at Bollywood Hungama, spoke to a manager at a multiplex, who on the condition of anonymity elaborated on the problem that the audiences have been experiencing. The source was quoted saying, “During the intermission of every show of Kanguva on its release day, irate moviegoers requested our staff to do something about the volume. Some of them even blasted our team, assuming that it’s us who have kept the volume high. But it’s not our fault. And I spoke to my counterparts and it's happening in other theatres as well.” Followed by this, Oscar winning sound editor Resul Pookutty also posted about the sound mixing issues with the film on social media.

Considering the backlash, with many audiences also blaming music composer Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad for the issue, producer Gnanavel Raja has addressed the same and responded to the matter saying, “We spoke to all the exhibitors & requested them to reduce TWO points of volume to nullify the negative feedback related to ‘Loudness’”. He also added, “It is not DSP’s mistake, the loudness is because of sound mixing and it will be corrected by night show today”.

Speaking of Kanguva, the film stars Suriya, Bobby Deol in the lead along with Disha Patani playing a key role. The epic fantasy entertainer that is set across two different time periods hit theatres in multiple languages including Hindi on November 14.
