Actor Kamal Haasan has won the hearts of the audience with his acting, from South to Bollywood cinema. He still enjoys a tremendous fan following across the nation. Today the actor is celebrating his 68th birthday, and marking the occasion, his actress daughter Shruti Haasan shared a sweet wish for him.

Shruti took to her verified social media handle and shared a childhood picture of the birthday boy. In the monochrome picture, young Kamal can be seen posing for the camera with a smile on his face. Instagramming the post dedicated to him, Shruti wrote a short caption, which read, “Happy birthday bapuji,” and tagged him. She also added a cake with lit candles and amulet emoticons.

While wishes from Kamal Haasan’s fans and admirers are pouring in, the renowned actor has a treat for them. Recently, Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies announced their upcoming collaboration KH 234. Written and directed by Mani Ratnam, the Kama Haasan starrer is expected to release in 2024.

After their collaboration on the cult film Nayagan, which was released nearly 35 years ago in 1987, the legendary pairing of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam returns. Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananth are jointly producing the upcoming movie. While making the announcement of the same, a day before his birthday, Haasan took to his social media and shared a glimpse of its power-packed music.

Commenting on KH 234, actor, director and producer Kamal Haasan said, “I was equally excited 35 years before when I was about to start work with Mr. Mani Ratnam. Collaborating with a similar mind-set is stimulating. This stimulation includes Mr. Rahman as well. I am eagerly looking forward to presenting this venture with Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin,” in a statement.
