Japan to release on OTT; Karthi starrer to stream on Netflix from December 11 : Bollywood News

Karthi, who has of late been doing quite a bit of intense roles, decided to take a break from those characters, as he returned to his popular comedies. Playing the role of a con artist, Japan featured the Kaithi actor in an interesting role in this heist entertainer which delves into a cat-and-mouse chase game between a smart thief and the cops. While the film opened to mixed reviews when it released on the big screens in November, the film is now set to have a digital release, exactly a month after its theatrical release.

Netflix India has taken to social media to share the good news for Karthi fans who can now catch the movie all across the world. Japan will be streaming on the platform from December 11 onwards and moreover it is also being said that it will be available in multiple languages. Announcing the same, the post was captioned saying, “Intha kadhai-la thimingalam sikkuma sikkadha nu paaka neenga ready ah? (In this story, are you ready to watch if the whale be trapped or not?)

Speaking about the plotline, it features Karthi as a popular thief named Japan Muni who is known for his sleek work. When Rs. 200 million worth jewellery is stolen, as all fingers point at this robber, the film pursues his journey as the audiences are left wondering if he has truly committed the crime or has he been framed.

Also starring Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, Vijay Milton, Jithan Ramesh, K.S. Ravikumar, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Bava Chelladurai, Mohamed Irfan, among others, the film released in theatres on November 11. Now Japan will be streaming on Netflix India from December 11 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
