Life comes a full circle as Janhvi Kapoor is also all set to be her mother, later Sridevi's true successor. With her debut in the South, Devara: Part 1 starring Jr. NTR, she is following India's first female superstar Sridevi's footsteps by foraying into the South industry! The actress has been paired opposite the RRR star in the massively mounted Telugu film. For the same, the actress is learning Telugu language.

In a recent interview, she said that she feels very happy that she is a part of this film because through this film she is only getting closer to her southern roots and learning Telugu. As earlier mentioned by Janhvi, her mother, legendary actress Sridevi started her south debut with Jr. NTR's grandfather - N.T Rama Rao. Speaking to The Week, the actress said, “I never learned Telugu and it is something I am ashamed of. I can understand it phonetically, but I can’t speak it. Yes, it is one of my biggest regrets.”

She feels that with Devara, she is able to get closer to her South Indian roots. “This part of me had been dormant for a while. But, the Devara team is very patient and helpful. They are working with such stalwarts and I am so grateful they are just a call away to help me with my lines.”

The film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Prakash Raj. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara Part 1 will unfold in two parts. The magnum opus is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, while it is presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the cinematography is handled by R Rathnavelu. Promising intense action sequences and an extraordinary orchestral musical score, the film will hit the theatres during the occasion of Dussehra, on October 10, 2024, in multiple languages including Hindi.
