Indian 2 Accident: Eye witness reveals Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal escaped from getting crushed by 10 seconds

In one of most tragic incidents, three men were killed on the sets of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Indian 2 after a crane crashed during the filming. The three men were assistant directors on the film and were sitting on the crane when it broke apart and came crashed on the group. Along with them, nine other crew members were injured while they were filming at EVP Film City near Chennai.

Costume designer Amritha Ram who was present on the location at the time of the incident took to her Twitter handle to share an account of what she witnessed. She wrote that along with her actors Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal also narrowly escaped from being crushed. Sharing the picture of the crushed canopy she wrote, "Providential escape from the ghastly mishap. Literally 10secs away from being crushed under. fortunate Kamal sir, Kajal n me who were right under are safe #count your blessings our crushed canopy under the crane. we are #safe RIP our fellow mates".

According to a statement released by the makers of the movie Lyca Productions, the deceased were identified as assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandrana and Production assistant Madhu.

Kajal Aggarwal and Kamal Haasan too took to their respective social media handles to express their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the crane operator who according to reports is currently absconding.
