Ed Sheeran is currently busy with his Mathematics tour where he will be visiting six different cities in India over a span 15 days.

The Bangalore concert of American pop idol Ed Sheeran turned into an unforgettable night when Indian singer Shilpa Rao making a surprise appearance on stage. Apart from Sheeran’s most popular numbers, the duo also performed a soulful rendition of the popular Devara song ‘Chuttamalle’, blending Sheeran’s signature acoustic style with Shilpa’s raw, emotive vocals, leaving the audience spellbound. The song was originally picturized on Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.

After his much-talked-about collaboration with A.R. Rahman in Chennai, Ed Sheeran continued celebrating Indian music by bringing Shilpa Rao on stage for a powerful duet in Bangalore. The collaboration came as a thrilling moment for fans, who erupted in cheers as Ed introduced Shilpa to the stage.

In fact, before the concert, Sheeran and Shilpa were seen exchanging notes backstage, discussing their shared love for live music. The moment was later captured in candid pictures that surfaced on social media, showing the two artists bonding over their passion for heartfelt performances.

For the unversed, Shilpa Rao, renowned for her hits like Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Haseeno), Ishq Shava (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), Tose Naina (Mickey Virus), and Ghungroo (War), has collaborated with top composers like A.R. Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and Pritam, as she continues to push musical boundaries while staying true to her distinct style.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran’s Bangalore concert was part of his ongoing India tour, which has already seen electrifying performances in cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai. However, his surprise collaboration with Indian musicians have garnered ample attention as it celebrates the fusion of global and Indian music on a grand stage. The Mathematics tour of the pop-singer started last month with Pune, followed by performances in Hyderabad and Chennai, and then, in Bengaluru on February 8 at NICE Grounds. Sheeran will now head to Shillong for a show on February 12 at JN Stadium, before concluding in Delhi NCR on February 15 at Leisure Valley Ground.
