Next Thursday – August 15 – will see the clash of three big Hindi films – Stree 2, Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein. That’s not all. The Telugu film Double iSmart will also be released in Hindi and other languages. When multiple films are released on the same day, it leads to a lot of issues over screen sharing. At the launch of the song ‘Big Bull’, Double iSmart’s producer Charmme Kaur confessed that they are struggling to get adequate screens in the Hindi-speaking markets.

Charmme Kaur began by saying, “In 2019, iSmart Shankar became a huge hit in Telugu. With the blessings of the audience, we are bringing its sequel in as many as 5 languages.”

She then said, “Three more films are releasing on August 15. Saari filmein bahut acchi lag rahi hai. Toh thoda theatre ke liye lafda ho raha hai North India mein. I’ll leave that to the experts – Anil Thadani ji and Duggal ji (Riwaz Ramesh Duggal of RKD Studios). They’ll help us do the justice and I hope we have a good run in North India as well.”

Charmme Kaur was asked how she and director-husband Puri Jagannadh function. She answered, “Mr Puri Jagannadh deals with alphabets while I deal with numbers. So, we do not enter each other’s zone at all. Even though he’s well aware of (every challenge). He’s a producer’s actor. But we have our own departments.”

Actress Kavya Thapar, meanwhile, talked highly of lead actor Ram Pothineni saying, “During the shoot of the song ‘Maar Muntha Chod Chinta’, I was quite ill. I had a stomach infection and hence, I asked for spinach soup. The next day, Ram asked her mother to make spinach soup, and he got it for me. I’ll forever be grateful. These little things show what kind of person he is.”

Also present at the event were Sanjay Dutt, CEO of Puri Connects Vish Reddy and actor Ali.
