Dhanush’s second directorial venture, Raayan, has a new release date. Initially scheduled to hit theatres on June 13, the film will now premiere on July 26. The announcement came alongside a fresh set of posters in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English.

The posters showcase Dhanush sporting a beard and moustache, with a fiery image of Goddess Kali in the background. Sharing the posters, the actor wrote, “#Raayan From July 26th.”

Dhanush takes on both directing and leading roles in the film. Previously titled D50 (referencing it as his 50th film as an actor), Raayan also features Nithya Menen, Sundeep Kishan, SJ Suryah, and Kalidas Jayaram. This marks Dhanush's second directorial project, following his 2017 film Pa Paandi.

A glimpse of the film's intensity was offered in an earlier first-look poster. Dhanush sported a bald head and mustache, clad in a blood-stained apron, while intensely gazing at the camera. He wielded a steel weapon and stood in front of a food truck with two other characters.

Raayan is produced by the renowned Sun Pictures banner. A.R. Rahman provides the film's soundtrack, while Om Prakash handles the cinematography.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is set to portray the legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja in a biopic directed by Arun Matheswaran.
