After several filmmakers approached Tamil Film Producer’s Council regarding their pending projects with Dhanush, the former decided to take action against the actor-filmmaker by taking action against the actor and announcing a ban on him signing on new projects. Now it seems that the council has decided to revoke the action after the actor has reportedly promised to clear up all the complaints. Earlier this week, reports had it that the actor even went on to sign a new project with Arun Vijay.
In the recent update, it has been reported that Dhanush apparently approached the Tamil Film Producer’s Council for a meeting wherein he asserted the members that he would be clearing all his dues. He has also informed the council about him returning the remuneration he has charged for films that have failed to take off like Polladhavan. Furthermore, as per the News18 report, it is being said that the actor has also assured the council about starting work on his impending professional commitments including an upcoming project with Mersal makers. However, despite his assurances, it is said that the council decided to lift the ban on only for one film as of now.
Speaking of his current commitments, Dhanush, who was last seen in Raayan, for which he received rave reviews, is gearing up for the release of Kubera which also features Rashmika Mandanna and Telugu superstar Nagarjuna in key roles. Besides that, he is also wrapping up the highly-anticipated romantic comedy Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (Why is the Moon angry with me)? Directed by Dhanush himself and produced by him under his banner Wunderbar Films, the film stars Pavesh, Priya Prakash Varrier, Anika Surendran, among others.
Apart from these, after the ban being lifted, the actor is expected to be taking the role of a director for a film which will star Arun Vijay. However, the actor-filmmaker himself is also expected to play a key role.
