Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth file for divorce, reveal reports : Bollywood News

In 2022, actor Dhanush and filmmaker as well as daughter of South megastar Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rajinikanth announced their separation. Now two years later, reports suggest that the estranged couple, who are also parents to two boys, have filed for divorce in the family court in Chennai. While the couple have been living separately for a while, they are not only cordial with each other on social media but also cheer for each other’s projects.

As per an IndiaToday.in report, Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth have filed for divorce under Section 13B which is divorce by mutual consent. For the unversed, the couple are parents to two children, the elder Yatra is expected to be around 18 years old, the younger one Linga is said to be around 13 years old. Although it is being said that the couple will be sharing the custody of their children, there has been no update on that front. However, both Dhanush as well as Aishwarya are often seen spending their own ‘father’ and ‘mother’ time with both their sons, albeit separately.

Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth had taken to social media in January 2022 to announce their separation wherein they had posted a note saying, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better”.

Meanwhile, the estranged couple are quite busy in their professional life. While Aishwarya is expected to have returned to direction with Lal Salaam, Dhanush too has an array of projects in the pipeline including Raayan and Kubera.
