Actor Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan have been dating for quite some time now. Rumours about their impending marriage surfaces on social media quite often. Meanwhile, there was recent buzz that the couple has been engaged officially.
The buzz was generated when Vignesh took to his Instagram in March and shared a picture with Nayanthara where she was seen leaning over him with a ring on her finger. He had captioned the photo as 'Viralodu uyir kooda korthu' (Finger is tied up with life).

While the two have not released any official statement confirming the engagement, Nayanthara confirmed the same when she appeared on a Tamil talk show. On the talk show hosted by Dhivayadarshini aka DD, Nayanthara confirmed that the ring she is wearing is an engagement ring.
Meanwhile, in a recent interaction with fans on social media, Vignesh had revealed that both he and Nayanthara are saving money for their marriage since it will cost a lot and also for coronavirus to go away.
Nayanthara and Vignesh fell in love when they were working on the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The duo is currently shooting for their upcoming film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal which also stars Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Sethupathi.
