Prime Video’s latest Telugu Original Cheekatilo has scripted a major streaming milestone. The crime suspense drama has emerged as the most-watched South Original movie on Prime Video within its first week, making it one of the platform’s strongest South launches to date.
Premiering worldwide on January 23, Cheekatilo quickly captured audience attention, trending among the top titles on Prime Video India during its launch weekend. According to the streamer, the film reached viewers across over 89% of India’s pincodes, underlining its Pan-Indian appeal and reinforcing the growing appetite for gripping regional stories beyond language barriers.

Directed by Sharan Kopishetty and produced by D. Suresh Babu under the banner of Suresh Productions Pvt. Ltd., Cheekatilo is written by Chandra Pemmaraju and Kopishetty. The film stars Sobhita Dhulipala as Sandhya, alongside Viswadev Rachakonda, with Chaitanya Visalakshmi, Esha Chawla, Jhansi, Aamani, and Vadlamani Srinivas playing pivotal roles.
