Mammootty, who received immense praise for his sensitive portrayal in the Jyothika starrer Kathal: The Core, has already started work on his other upcoming projects. Among his highly anticipated ventures is Bramayugam, whose unique first look garnered much curiosity. Taking it a step further, makers have added to anticipation by unveiling a teaser of sorts of the forthcoming horror thriller and it will spook you as much as Arjun Ashokan gets when he enters an ancestral Kerala home.

The unique teaser has grabbed much attention since it is completely shot in black-and-white mode, representing the old ages of cinema. Going by the teaser, set against the backdrop of an old and almost-in-ruins tharavadu (a traditional Kerala bungalow), the film is expected to be set in a pre-modern era wherein the characters are dressed in complete Kerala-style mundu and other traditional clothes. The teaser shows Arjun Ashokan entering this old home located in the midst of nowhere between a deep waterfall and an even denser jungle. The teaser takes audiences further into the eerie atmosphere combined with mysterious noises and incidents which promises a rather bone-chilling and nerve-wrecking horror experience and adding to the thrilling elements is also the background score. Furthermore, Mammootty continues to retain his creepy look by adding an evil smile as he poses like a landlord and owner of the ancestral home.

However, despite showcasing what the film has in store for horror movie lovers, the teaser has been created carefully without divulging details of the plotline. Bramayugam also stars Sidharth Bharathan and Amanda Liz in key roles and is directed by Bhoothakaalam fame Rahul Sadasivan. Produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, the dialogues were written by T. D. Ramakrishnan whereas Shehnad Jalal is the cinematographer along with music composed by Christo Xavier.
