Starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, the interesting alien drama Ayalaan, which released alongside some big movies, has made its mark quite strongly in the hearts of audiences. Post the success the film tasted, the makers have decided to take it forward as a franchise with a second instalment in the making. In fact, they have issued an official statement and shared the same on social media, as the announcement about the commencement of Ayalaan 2.
The official statement, which was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, revealed that the makers signed the agreement about the second instalment on January 18 and it also explained the decision of making the second part, and explained about what it is has in store for audiences by revealing, “Following the resounding success of the original "Ayalaan," the decision to reunite actor Sivakarthikeyan, director Ravikumar, and the producers at KJR Studio underscores the winning combination that captivated audiences in the first instalment. The iconic character "Tattoo," an alien from the original film, has left an indelible mark on audiences of all backgrounds.
The note further opened up about the budget of the film and added, “With an initial budget of Rs. 250 crores dedicated exclusively to the VFX and CGI of Ayalaan 2, both PhantomFX and KJR Studio acknowledge the possibility of exceeding this figure as they spare no expense to deliver an unparalleled visual experience. Updates on the budget will be provided as the project unfolds, reaffirming the commitment to surpassing traditional cinematic boundaries.”

It also mentioned that the visual effects will be crafted under the supervision of Mr. Bejoy Arputharaj, Founder and CEO of Phantom Digital Effects Limited. Mr. Bejoy Arputharaj, also expresses his excitement in this statement wherein he was quoted saying, "The collaboration on 'Ayalaan 2' marks a significant milestone in the evolution of Indian cinema. Our commitment to pushing the boundaries of visual effects and CGI is unwavering, and we are dedicated to delivering an unparalleled cinematic experience. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, Ayalaan also starred Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupirya, Yogi Babu, in key roles. The film released theatrically on January 12.
