Sivakarthikeyan is all set to join hands with an alien for his upcoming sci-fi drama Ayalaan and audiences are even more curious to know more about it ever since the trailer of it has been unveiled. Makers of the film dropped the trailer on January 5, thereby building up anticipation and in the same. While the trailer provides glimpses of actors Isha Koppikar, Sharad Kelkar, and Rakul Preet Singh, they have also given audiences a deeper insight into the character of the alien in the film.
The trailer, exuding Koi Mil Gaya vibes, explores a bond between Siva and the alien wherein the duo strikes a unique friendship as they set out on a mission to save earth from an apocalypse as well as save themselves from greedy and opportunistic scientists. The Pan-India entertainer was announced in 2016 and it was expected to release earlier but suffered a few setbacks including the pandemic and budget. However, ahead of its release next week, the trailer has garnered ample attention for its sci-fi elements.
Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh plays the role of his love interest whereas Sharad Kelkar and Isha Koppikar are expected to play characters with grey shades. Bhanupriya will be seen playing the role of Siva aka Raghu’s mother whereas popular actor Siddharth has given the voice over for the alien.

Produced under the banners of RD Raja of 24M Studios and KJR Studios of Kotapadi J Rajesh and directed by R. Ravikumar, Ayalaan features music composed by A R Rahman whereas its cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah and editing by Ruben. It is slated for release on January 12, 2024 in Tamil and Telugu, marking the occasion of Pongal.
