Aranmanai 4 Hindi press conference: Tamannaah Bhatia-Raashii Khanna starrer was a RARE South film to have a press show before release; journalists were asked to bring their families: “When they saw their families enjoying the film, automatically we got good reviews”

On May 29, a press meet of Aranmanai 4’s Hindi version was held in a multiplex in Mumbai and it was attended by gorgeous actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna, actor-director Sundar C, producer Khushbu Sundar and others. Director Sundar C revealed some interesting trivia about how he and the makers implemented out-of-the-box ideas for the promotion of the original Tamil version and how it paid off big time.

Sundar C began by saying, “I am nervous as this is the first time I am with the Mumbai media.” He then added, “Aranmanai’s first part was a big hit down South. It was dubbed in Hindi as Rajmahal. It did extremely well on OTT and satellite. After its success, a lot of horror comedies were dubbed in Hindi and titled as Rajmahal 2, Rajmahal 3, etc! Hence, we are not changing the title of Aranmanai 4in Hindi.”

Sundar C revealed, “One of the main reasons for Aranmanai 4’s success is that normally, for a South film, the press show is held only after release. This is because the makers are scared of whether or not the film will carry good reports. I had just one marketing strategy. We decided to have Aranmanai 4’s press show before the release of the film. I also put a condition on my friends in the media down South that they have to come with their families to watch the press show! I held the screening in a 1000-seater to accommodate journalists and their families.”

He continued, “When the journalists saw their families laughing and enjoying the film, automatically we got very good reviews for Aranmanai 4! Hence, even before the release, my movie was declared a super hit! That’s the power of the media and press.”

The Hindi version of Aranmanai 4 releases in cinemas on May 31.
