Amid Animal’s successful run, Rashmika Mandanna starts shooting for The Girlfriend in Hyderabad : Bollywood News

Ever since the makers of Animal released the teaser, the team, including the lead actors, was rigorously promoting the film. And, now, it is enjoying humongous success at the box office. While a section of netizens continues heaping praises, Rashmika Mandanna has already started shooting for her next project, titled The Girlfriend.

For the unversed, The Girlfriend is being helmed by National award winner Rahul Ravindran and will be produced by Allu Arvind’s Geetha Arts for their 51st film. It is touted to be a solo-led thriller. The upcoming flick will feature music composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Rashmika herself shared the update about its shoot.

In one of her recent Instagram stories, Mandanna shared a blurred picture from the airport. She wrote a short note, which read, “And finally now it's Mumbai (aeroplane emoji) Hyderabad. For about 20 days my loves (heart emoji). Starting 'The Girlfriend' tomorrow.. Need all your love and blessings (sic).”

Coming back to Animal, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial was released on December 1, clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. It has scored an ALL-TIME BIGGEST Non-Holiday Monday for a Hindi film topping the previous best, Gadar 2 (Rs. 38.7 cr.). Despite an A-rating, long runtime, and clash, it is headed towards Rs. 300 crores in the opening week.

Speaking of the cast, besides Mandanna and Kapoor, it also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri and Shakti Kapoor are seen playing pivotal roles.
