Producer Allu Aravind, who has produced some of the biggest hits including films featuring his son Allu Arjun, recently found himself in the midst of a controversy after making a comment on Yash’s career. The producer was seen discussing about the career graph of actors, as he addressed the subject of actors hiking their remuneration after the success of films. During the same, in the flow of discussing the matter, he questioned about ‘who was Yash before KGF’ and this did not go down well with fans of the Kannada superstar. Not only did they react to this remark but they also asked the producer to focus on his own son Allu Arjun.

The loyalists of Yash were thoroughly upset when Allu Aravind broached the subject of Yash’s stardom and couldn’t help but express their disappointment on social media after a video of the producer talking about the KGF actor went viral. Allu Aravind had said, "The lead actor of a movie gets only 20 to 25 per cent of the film’s budget as remuneration. So, it is not true that the budget for the film will increase because of his fees alone. On top of actors’ fees, a lot of money is spent to make the movie a big venture.”

Fans of Yash came in support of the superstar as one of them commented, “KGF is special only because of Yash. It is unimaginable without him. That is his contribution. What's this guy's problem?” Yet another one revealed about how stars slowly manage to reach the hearts of audiences and cited the example of Allu Arjun adding, “Even Allu Arjun was a small hero in tier2 range who used to compete with vijay devarakonda until his big movie Alavaikuntapuram lo.” Yet another fan, who seems to be an ardent Kannada movie lover asked the producer to catch some of Yash’s older releases before KGF. “For Allu Aravind, please show few Yash movies released before KGF.”

Yash gained Pan India stardom after the grand success of the Prashanth Neel action entertainer KGF Chapter 1 and KGF Chapter 2, which also led to him becoming the face of several popular brands. Similarly, Allu Arjun too experienced a massive uproar after the stupendous success of Pushpa: The Rise. The actor is currently completing work on the next part of the franchise, Pushpa: The Rule.
