The 14-episode series will be helmed by Mui Aticha Tanthanawigrai who previously worked on F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers.

In November 2022, exciting news emerged as the beloved South Korean novel, “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty,” which also has a K-drama adaptation, was set to be adapted into the Thai language, titled Beauty Newbie. The Thai adaptation, from GMMTV and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, is set to feature Win Metawin as the charismatic Guy Kairn Sayapisit, with Baifern taking on the role of the charming Liu Prima Paspimol. The trailer showcases Liu (Baifern) who embarks on a transformative journey, opting for plastic surgery to escape childhood torment. Battling insecurities in this world of insane beauty standards, when Liu (Baifern Pimchanok) decides to have a whole-face plastic surgery to stop people from bullying her and looking down on her dream of becoming a perfumer, she finally finds her first ever friend in Faye (Jane Ramida), an angelic natural beauty. But things don’t go her way when she meets Guy (Win Metawin), the campus heartthrob who went to the same school as Liu and tells her to be careful of Faye, which gives Liu all the more reason to hate him.

Meanwhile, Liu finds comfort in Saint (Great Sapol), a graduate student and her next-door neighbor, who is always by her side. Her seemingly peaceful new life takes a turn, however, when a situation calls for her to tell everyone that she’s a plastic beauty. People start talking and criticizing, and Liu once again doubts whether even with this beautiful face, she’s still not worthy of anything. Will Liu get through this, and what kind of scent will her blooming romance bring?

The cast members also include Great Sapol, Jane Ramida, Drake Sattubut, Louis Thanawin, Aou Thanaboon, Emi Thasorn, Ployphach Phatchatorn, Pod Suphakorn, Est Supha, Mike Chinnarat, Jeab Sopidnapa, Um Amarin, Jaoying Krongkwan, and many others. Directed by Mui Aticha Tanthanawigrai, we believe the story reflects perfectly the real-world emphasis on looks and images instead of the importance of the true self that is more than skin-deep.

Adapted from the popular WEBTOON webcomic My ID is Gangnam Beauty by Maenggi Ki with 1.46 billion views from fans around the world, it tells the story of a college freshman girl who decides to get plastic surgery after being bullied for how she looks her entire life. The campus is where she meets a guy who doesn’t judge anyone by their appearance, but rather by their heart, which leads to the start of a beautiful relationship.

The Korean drama chronicles the tumultuous journey of Kang Mi Rae, a young woman tormented by societal standards of beauty. Subjected to relentless bullying, she opts for plastic surgery in pursuit of a transformed life. However, her college experience unfolds with a fresh set of challenges, blending a narrative of self-discovery and societal expectations. Enter Do Kyung Suk, a familiar face from Mi Rae's middle school days, and the plot thickens with both the trials of academia and the complexities of love. Jo Woo Ri and Kwak Dong Yeon add depth to the series, elevating the narrative with their compelling performances.

On the work front, Win Metawin catapulted to stardom through the Boys' Love series 2gether and Still 2gether alongside Bright Vachirawit. He went on to star in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers and most recently in the Enigma series which will get a second season.

Simultaneously, Baifern, propelled into the limelight with the 2010 hit Crazy Little Thing Called Love, continues to shine in diverse projects like Love Summer, Still 2, and AI Love You.
