Universal Pictures India, distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery, is set to release the upcoming romantic drama Reminders of Him in Indian theatres on March 13, 2026. Directed by Vanessa Caswill, the film stars Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers and is adapted from the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover.
The story explores complex human emotions, focusing on themes of forgiveness, resilience and the fleeting moments of happiness that shape people’s lives. At the centre of the film is Caswill’s directorial approach, which prioritises authentic performances and a visual style that supports the emotional journey of the characters.
Speaking about the adaptation, Caswill explained that she remained closely connected to the novel’s core themes throughout the filmmaking process. Her approach involved carefully translating the emotional layers of the book while ensuring that the characters’ inner conflicts and growth remained central to the narrative.
Director Vanessa Caswill said, “What stayed with me was how clearly the story understands that happiness and beauty arrive in brief, unexpected moments. My instinct was to stay faithful to the book and trust that the visual language would come naturally from the material. By balancing fidelity to the source material with a cinematic interpretation, Caswill aims to preserve the emotional core of the novel while giving the film its own visual identity. The adaptation seeks to present a story that explores love, loss and personal growth, while highlighting how compassion and connection can emerge even in difficult circumstances.
