This summer, Twisters, the iconic disaster film, roars back onto the big screen with a modern twist. This adrenaline-pumping adventure puts you face-to-face with nature's most awe-inspiring and destructive force: the tornado. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated director behind Minari, Twisters boasts a star-studded cast including Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Daisy Edgar-Jones takes the lead as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a past encounter. Now seeking safety in New York City, she analyzes storms from afar. But when her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) convinces her to test a revolutionary new tracking system in the heart of tornado alley, Kate finds herself drawn back to the heart of the storm.
There, she clashes with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a charismatic social media star who thrives on chasing the most dangerous twisters with his crew. Their approaches couldn't be more different: Kate, meticulous and scientific, versus Tyler, reckless and thrill-seeking. Yet, as a terrifying new breed of storms emerges, they'll be forced to work together to predict and potentially even control these monstrous forces.

As the storm season intensifies, Kate, Tyler, Javi, and their teams find themselves trapped in the crosshairs of multiple converging storms in Oklahoma. Smith, writer of the acclaimed The Revenant, based on a story by Joseph Kosinski. The characters were originally created by the legendary Michael Crichton and Anne Marie Crichton.
Twisters promises a thrilling cinematic experience, distributed domestically by Universal Pictures and internationally by Warner Bros. Pictures on July 19, 2024.
