The promotional tour for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu continued this week with grand fan events in Paris and London, bringing together key members of the film’s cast and creative team. Actors Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, along with director, co-writer, and producer Jon Favreau, attended a special footage screening for over 2,000 fans at Le Grand Rex in Paris before heading to London for another fan interaction event at Cineworld IMAX Leicester Square. Producer Kathleen Kennedy also joined the team during the London stop.
While the film’s stars drew massive crowds, it was Grogu — the adorable force-sensitive companion popularly known to fans as “Baby Yoda” — who seemingly stole the spotlight throughout the tour. Making his big-screen debut with the upcoming film, Grogu continues to enjoy immense popularity across fan communities, internet culture, and merchandise worldwide.
During one of the promotional interactions, Sigourney Weaver and Pedro Pascal were asked about working alongside their tiny co-star, and both actors responded with enthusiasm. Speaking about Grogu, Weaver said, “I love the little hairs on his head, his ears, how expressive he is, and his nails.”
Adding humour to the moment, Pascal joked, “He's even had a manicure for the event, so we know who the real star is." The actor also reflected on the emotional connection audiences have formed with Din Djarin and Grogu over the years. According to Pascal, the relationship between the Mandalorian bounty hunter and his young companion remains one of the emotional anchors of the story, and he believes several moments from the upcoming film will stay with viewers long after they leave theatres.
Set in a galaxy still recovering from the fall of the Empire, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu follows Din Djarin and Grogu as they navigate a changing political landscape while working alongside the emerging New Republic. The film is directed by Jon Favreau and written by Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Noah Kloor. The music has been composed by Ludwig Göransson.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is slated to release exclusively in theatres and IMAX on May 22, 2026, in English and Hindi.
