It's not surprising that many of the A-list guests at the Met Gala chose to pay respect to Karl Lagerfeld's work with their own outfits given that the event celebrated the tremendous legacy of the late designer. The best dressed of the lot were those who found distinctive ways to honour a hallmark Lagerfeld look—whether it was Karl's own personal style through elegant ties, crisp shirts, and blazers, or the repeating use of pearls, bows, and tweeds in his collections. Naturally, there were also a few completely unexpected fashion moments tonight. The Met Gala 2023 is often called "fashion's biggest night" for a reason, despite the fact that all of the attendees go to great lengths to impress. RIHANNA
The 35-year-old singer made a stunning entrance on the desolate red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, taking fashionably late to a whole new level. The actress' wedding gown had a dramatic sweeping train and an exquisite rose-adorned headdress. As she posed, puffy flowers decorated her torso and crown. The singer of the smash song "Umbrella" then whipped off her headpiece while posing on the iconic steps, causing her garment to unravel into an even longer train. The spaghetti-strapped dress cradled her expanding bump. She wore a diamond necklace for extra glitz, along with crimson lipstick, cat eye sunglasses, and ridiculously oversized artificial lashes. A$AP, 34, looked sharp in a black tie, jacket, and white shirt with a kilt layered over pants. KIM KARDASHIAN
Kim Kardashian and North West arrived at the Met Gala 2023 in style to honour Karl, and they were joined by Kim's daughter. Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing pearls, which was expected given the theme's emphasis on monochromes. Kim Kardashian demonstrated why she is the best by donning a Schiaparelli masterpiece with about 50,000 freshwater pearls. The ensemble featured a moulded corset top and a flowing skirt that both honoured her hourglass figure and were embellished with crystals and pearls. Her forearm was covered by a fluttery ivory shrug, elevating her red carpet beauty to a whole new level. She continued to embellish her look with a diamond and pearl choker as if the pearls alone weren't enough. CARDI B
Cardi B showed up at the 2023 Met Gala in New York on Monday dressed to the nines. The 30-year-old rapper displayed her versatility in fashion by choosing to don two stunning gowns for fashion's biggest night before switching into a third one within the event. The WAP hitmaker started the night by stepping out of her hotel wearing a sumptuous bust-baring pale pink gown by Miss Sohee with an eye-catching headpiece. However, when she arrived at the red carpet, she had changed into a black ball gown with a tie as a tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld. This was done because it was inspired by his quilted bags and his signature suit and black-tie look. Later inside, she changed for a third time, donning a significantly bustier pink and black gown with a houndstooth pattern. Cardi accessorised her first colourful ensemble with a pearl bracelet and multi-layer necklace. Her dark hair was pulled back into a stylish low bun.

On the way to the event, she changed into her second dress, which had a floral-detailed, extravagant quilted bottom. Black elbow-length gloves and big pearl earrings served as her accessories. With a black headband and a silver-toned wig, Cardi completed the ensemble.

Pascal's look has already been the talk of the red carpet, rocking an ensemble from Maison Valentino's autumn/winter 2023 ready-to-wear line. He stepped out with a bright red trench coat under a matching red dress shirt and a black tie, while showing off his muscular legs with a pair of black shorts. He completed his look with black socks and shiny black combat boots, while rocking a scruffy beard, slicked-back hair and gold rings.

At the Met Gala on Monday night, Anne Hathaway was a sexy bombshell wearing a low-cut white Versace gown.The 40-year-old veteran actress, who is the face of the company's Icon campaign, wore an ensemble that was held together by gold safety pins. The Armageddon Time star teasingly displayed her perky cleavage in the outfit, which had a thigh-high slit and an exceedingly low cut. Days have passed since socialite Sofia Richie's lavish wedding, where he wore Chanel and looked absolutely lovely. Alton's Met Gala outfit featured elbow patches made of jewels and a large shimmering turtleneck. Long netted sleeves with enormous floral motifs ran the length of the lace garment. Doja Cat at the 2023 Met Gala has fully taken on the feline persona, living up to her moniker. Doja Cat has paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld's favourite cat, Choupette, by dressing in a Cats-like inspired hood and feathery outfit, along with prosthetics by Malina Stearns. Doja Cat's Oscar de la Renta gown is completed with a cat-themed headpiece that is adorned with hundreds of sparkling crystals. The sleeveless dress also features a full-back revealing detail, glistening diamonds, a figure-hugging silhouette emphasising her form, and a train at the rear decorated with feathers. Doja added jewellery to the outfit, including bracelets, diamond rings, tiny armlets, a sparkling headpiece, and high heels. Last but not least, Doja's nighttime dazzle stole the show. With bold winged eyeliner, rosy lips, soft smoky eye shadow, thin eyebrows, rouged cheeks, and mascara on the lashes, she gave her face the appearance of a cat.

The rapper appeared at the Met Gala tonight sporting a light-hearted and whimsical ensemble in honour of the new exhibition "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The diva wore a backless blazer and an eight-meter (26-foot) floral train, both created by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. She also wore a spotless white suit. The maximalist homage to flowers is more than appropriate for the occasion given that Lagerfeld usually used botanical themes in his designs. Bad Bunny accessorised with pearl stud earrings and wore his short hair pulled back for the occasion.
