The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 to be directed by three directors, Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri, and Louise Hooper

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which has received a lot of success as the top Original series for Prime Video, in its first season, has confirmed three directors for the forthcoming second season, currently in production in the UK. The show will be directed by Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri, and Louise Hooper who will each be at the helm of multiple episodes for season two.

Brändström, who directed two highly acclaimed episodes of The Rings of Power’s first season (106/“Udûn” and 107/“The Eye”), will be directing four episodes and will also serve as co-executive producer for the series this season. Hamri and Hooper will each be directing two episodes.

For the unversed, Charlotte Brändström is an award-winning director and graduate of the directing program at the American Film Institute. She has directed over 30 feature films, miniseries, among others along with a few episodes of the some of the most popular digital shows like The Witcher, and Away for Netflix, The Man in the High Castle for Prime Video, and Outlander for Starz.

On the other hand, talking about Sanaa Hamri, she is a renowned film, television, music video, and commercial director from Tangier, Morocco. Previously Hamri was executive producer/director for FOX’s hit series Empire, and her other episodic television directing credits include Shameless, Rectify, Nashville, Elementary, Glee, and Desperate Housewives along with feature films like Something New, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, and Just Wright.

Coming to Louise Hooper, she is an acclaimed British drama director, known for the 4-part limited thriller Flesh and Blood, along with the first season finale of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, Inside No. 9, and Treason. Interestingly, both Hooper and Brändström have worked in the popular show The Witcher.

The first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power are now available to stream on Prime Video.
