Amid the skyrocketing success of the romantic comedy King The Land, singers-turned-actors, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA and 2PM’s Lee Junho were reported to be in a relationship. The news broke on Monday that the pair had been dating prior to the drama and signed the show because they were in a relationship. However, their respective agencies were quick to deny the relationship rumours.
As per Korean outlet Soompi, in response to the report, YoonA’s agency SM Entertainment said briefly, “The two are just close and the dating rumors are not true.” Lee Junho’s agency JYP Entertainment similarly responded to the report by saying, “The two are close, but upon checking [with Lee Junho], the dating rumors are groundless.”
Meanwhile, the duo stars in the currently on-air series King The Land. The title refers to a VVIP business lounge, which is a place of dreams for hoteliers. Lee Junho will take on the role of Goo Won, who has everything except for good sense when it comes to dating. Meanwhile, YoonA will be starring as Cheon Sa Rang who lands a job at King Hotel, which gave her the happiest memories when she was young, and she matures while facing all sorts of prejudice and misunderstanding. King The Land premiered on June 17 on JTBC and Netflix, simultaneously.
