Singer Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner are officially headed for divorce. Earlier this week, it was reported that the singer was consulting a divorce lawyer. However, at his recent concerts, he has been donning his wedding ring. But, it now seems official as the reports say that their marriage is irretrievably broken.

On Tuesday, September 5, Joe Jonas filed for a dissolution of marriage with Sophie Turner in Miami. As per a report in People publication, the filing claims "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken." As per the divorce filing, the pair have a prenup in place.

A source told the publication, that the two of them “haven't gotten along in a while, but they're hoping to resolve this all amicably.” The source added, "They were not separated but they've been living separate lives for months.”

“As far as custody goes, this all just happened, so they're figuring it out in real-time,” the source said. “They did have a prenup. As a family, they were based in Florida. The kids were with him the last few months, travelling with him with family while he's been on tour. Sophie's been working in the UK.”

In his divorce filing, Joe Jonas has claimed that both his kids are living with him as of late. The pair has yet to make an official statement on their separation.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas first connected through Instagram DMs. "We had a lot of mutual friends, and they'd been trying to introduce us for a long time," Turner told for Harper’s Bazaar UK, adding, "We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue.”

They got married in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas and followed it with a grand ceremony in the French countryside. In 2020, they welcomed their first child, daughter Willa, and welcomed their second child in July 2022.
