Hospital Playlist to have director's cut with unseen footage in Blu-ray release; watch teaser

Hit South Korean drama Hospital Playlist is returning with a director’s cut version, which will feature unseen footage from behind-the-scenes. According to Allkpop tabloid, the Blu-Ray discs will include the director’s cut version of the drama along with never seen before behind-the-scenes footage and in-the-making videos.

On December 8, the makers released a teaser of the director’s cut version on YouTube. Previously, the leading cast Jo Jung Suk, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Suk, and Kim Dae Myung had already announced the release of the Blu-Ray version through their social media.

Starring Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do, the series tells the stories of five doctors and the residents who work at Yulje Medical Center. The doctors, who are working in different positions in the hospital, are friends since they entered medical school in 1999.

The supporting cast also became widely popular as the first season left the audience with several unanswered questions. The feel-good and slice-of-life drama talks about friendships, love, work-life, and relationships.

Meanwhile, the drama also had a second season, which was one of the most highly anticipated returns. The blooming romances, and the friendships of different ages and beyond make this series a special one. With the way season 2 ended, the anticipation for season 3 is more than ever.
