Hellbound actor Yoo Ah In tests positive for illegal drug Propofol after marijuana

South Korean actor Yoo Ah In, who previously tested positive for marijuana use, has now also tested positive for illegal use of propofol drug.

According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, on February 24, the police officially announced that the National Forensic Service had recently sent the results of Yoo Ah In’s hair test to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation unit. As per the report, a hair sample taken on February 5 tested positive for propofol.

It was earlier disclosed that he tested positive for marijuana usage in a urine sample, with the results of the hair follicle test pending. Along with this investigation, the police also performed a search and seizure of various doctors’ offices and clinics in Seoul’s Gangnam and Yongsan districts on February 8 and 9.

The clinics were searched as they were suspected of providing propofol to Yoo Ah In since early 2021. After the recent positive report of Propofol use, the police is expected to call the actor for another round of questioning. Meanwhile, his agency UAA said in a statement, “We are actively cooperating with the investigation. We plan to explain all the issues that have been called into question.”
