Former US President Barack Obama shares his favorite films of 2022; Top Gun: Maverick, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Decision To Leave also in the list

Former US President Barack Obama shared his annual list of his favorite films of 2022, which also includes some critically acclaimed films like Top Gun: Maverick, Everything Everywhere All At Once and Decision To Leave.

Obama's tradition of sharing his favorite new movies, books and music, has been going on for several years now. The annual list always features an eclectic collection of films ranging from different genres and countries. “I saw some great movies this year — here are some of my favorites. What did I miss?” he tweeted on December 23.

In no particular order, Obama's favorite films of 2022 includes Celine Sciamma’s Petite Maman, Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, Gina Prince-Bythewood’s The Woman King, Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun.

The list also includes John Patton Ford’s Emily the Criminal, Celine Sciamma’s Petite Maman, Margaret Brown’s Descendant, Audrey Diwane’s Happening, Chinonye Chukwu’s Till, Fernando León de Aranoa’s “The Good Boss, Asghar Farhadi’s A Hero, Panah Panahi’s Hit the Road, Todd Field’s Tar and Kogonada’s After Yang.
