Thousands of fans brought enthusiasm and support to Arena D23 by Bradesco/Visa at D23 Brazil - A Disney Experience as Disney live-action, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios revealed new details, shared exclusive footage and new trailers, and surprised the crowd with special appearances from global talent and local voices. The extraordinary D23 fan event, taking place through November 10 at The Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, features extensive programming with diverse panels and presentations, offerings on the show floor and the D23 Brazil Store Mercado Libre.
D23 Brazil 2024: Ice Age 6, Toy Story 5, Moana 2, Zootopia 2, and Incredibles 3 dazzle fans with new previewsHosted by Otaviano Costa and Carol Moreira, the event welcomed studio leaders, including Jared Bush, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer, and Jonas Rivera, executive vice president of film production at Pixar, plus Mufasa: The Lion King director Barry Jenkins. But it was the enthusiastic São Paulo crowd that really turned up the volume of the celebration of The Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming theatrical releases and streaming titles.
D23 Brazil fans were delighted with the announcement that Ice Age 6 is officially in production. Manny, Diego, Ellie, Sid, Scrat and Baby Scrat are heading back to the big screen in an epic animated adventure. A short video to celebrate the announcement was also released featuring returning cast members Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo, who will also be joined by Denis Leary and Simon Pegg in the new film. More details and cast announcements will be revealed at a future date.
Disney Live Action captivated the crowd at D23 Brazil, celebrating Brazilian performer Carlos Junior, known as Ca Ju, who joined singers on stage for a powerful rendition of “The Circle of Life” from The Lion King. Barry Jenkins, director of Disney’s upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King, greeted fans with fresh insights into the story, which delves into the unlikely rise of the Pride Lands’ beloved king. Attendees were treated to an exclusive trailer for the film, set to premiere on December 20.
Rachel Zegler, star of Disney’s Snow White, shared a magical video shout-out as fans enjoyed a first look at the live-action reimagining, which brings Snow White and her seven iconic companions back to theaters on March 21, 2025. The crowd also caught a glimpse of Disney’s highly anticipated Lilo & Stitch, the live-action adaptation of the animated classic about a lonely Hawaiian girl and her alien friend, which hits theaters on May 23, 2025.
Adding to the excitement, Jared Leto appeared via video to introduce TRON: Ares, which follows Ares, a sophisticated Program sent from the digital world into reality on a perilous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with AI beings. Fans were thrilled by a sneak peek of the sci-fi epic, set to premiere on October 10, 2025.
Pixar Animation Studios’ Jonas Rivera expressed gratitude to fans for the phenomenal success of Inside Out 2, which has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time and leads worldwide box office charts for 2024.
The D23 Brazil audience had the exclusive privilege of previewing a new trailer for Pixar’s upcoming feature, Elio, set to release on June 13, 2025. The story follows Elio, a space enthusiast with a vivid imagination, who is mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader when he is beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization.
Fans were also introduced to Hoppers, a film about Mabel, an animal lover who uses innovative technology to transfer her consciousness into a realistic robotic beaver, with the movie slated for release in 2026.
In a nod to nostalgia, Pixar invited fans to reminisce with the iconic toys Buzz, Woody, and the gang as they prepare for their next adventure in Toy Story 5, opening on June 19, 2026. This time, the beloved toys face a new technological threat that makes their job of protecting playtime far more challenging. Rounding out the thrilling announcements, Pixar shared that Incredibles 3 is officially in the works, exciting fans who eagerly await another adventure with the world’s favorite superhero family.
Walt Disney Animation Studios' Jared Bush shared his enthusiasm for two highly anticipated films coming soon to theaters: Moana 2 and Zootopia 2. As co-writer and executive producer of Moana 2 and writer-director of Zootopia 2, Bush offered exciting insights to fans at D23 Brazil. Moana 2, set to premiere on November 29, picks up three years after the first film as Moana embarks on a new journey to secure her people’s future. Attendees were treated to a sneak peek, while stars Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson amped up the excitement with a video message.
Brazilian superstar Any Gabrielly, who voices Moana in the Brazilian dub, added to the magic by performing the end-credits song, “Beyond.” Bush also introduced a special greeting from Shakira, confirming her return as Gazelle in Zootopia 2, a sequel that follows detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they pursue a mysterious reptile shaking up the mammal metropolis. Fans enjoyed a preview of the adventure, which is set to hit theaters in November 2025.
