Citadel: Priyanka Chopra Jonas starrer spy thriller ranks at the top among new releases globally; increases 25% viewership for Prime Video

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden starrer spy thriller Citadel saw a global release recently and the actress’ performance seems to have received a lot of rave reviews. A new update is now unveiled to the audience as Citadel sets a new record of attracting 25 percent more audience for Amazon Prime Video and rules the first position among the hottest releases across the globe.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas even shared a post on her social media sharing how she’s ‘grateful’ that Citadel has soared to number one among hottest new shows on Amazon Prime Video. For the unversed, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has performed 80 percent of the stunts without a body double, got real scars on her eyebrows while perfecting the final action shot. The actress also mastered six different languages for the series and pushed herself beyond for the spy thriller.

The producer of the series Russo brothers also labelled her as female Tom Cruise of cinema. Citadel is an American action spy thriller television series created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil for Amazon Prime Video. It stars Richard Madden and Priyanka as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh respectively, with Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville playing pivotal roles. The eight-episodes series premiered on Prime Video on April 28, with each episode releasing on a weekly basis.

Apart from Citadel, Priyanka also has Heads of State and the Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif starrer Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa in the pipeline. The actress’ latest Hollywood film Love Again with Sam Heughan released in theatres worldwide on Friday, May 12.
