On Tuesday, BTS' official Twitter account shared two photos of the seven members. Standing at the center was Jin with all the members around him. Since it is snowing in South Korea, the musicians were all decked up in winter clothes with padded coats and jackets. On Weverse, the musician wrote, "And it's time for curtain call."

BTS members took to their personal Instagram accounts to send best wishes to Jin and hoped for him to stay healthy during his duties.

On Sunday, December 11, Jin shared a photo of himself after chopping off his long hair. He wrote, "(Laughing emojis) cuter than what i thought."

As per the official statement posted on Weverse social media platform by BIGHIT Music on December 12, it read, “Jin will be enlisting in the army as an active-duty soldier to fulfill his military duty. As we have announced before, there is no separate official event on the day of admission to the recruit training center.”

The agency further wrote, “On the day of, the site is expected to be very crowded with enlisting soldiers, family members, and some fans. We ask the media to please refrain from visiting the site. In order to prevent safety accidents caused by on-site congestion, Jin will enter the grounds of the recruit training center while in a vehicle without greeting the media or fans separately. Due to the nature of the venue, we ask for your understanding that there is no separate waiting space for reporters. The agency will not spare its efforts and continued support until the day Jin fulfills his military service duties and returns in good health.”

BIGHIT Music has earlier also cautioned the fandom (ARMY) to not fall for the scams of purchasing merchandise and touring in the name of BTS’ Jin. “We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages illegally using artist IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP,” BigHit Music said in the statement.

“Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time,” the notice concluded.

According to the Korean media portal Soompi, on November 24, it was reported that Jin would enter the recruit training center in Yeoncheon County of Gyeonggi Province on December 13 and then receive his official assignment after completing basic training.

Prior to his enlistment, Jin made his solo debut with his song ‘The Astronaut’ in late October, written along with Chris Martin of Coldplay. He performed at their Argentina concert. ‘The Astronaut’ is a pop rock genre song co-written by Coldplay; the British band also plays on the recording.  The song marked the second collaboration between BTS and Coldplay after Coldplay X BTS’ ‘My Universe’ released in September last year.
