Breaking records and shattering expectations, Jimin has made history as the first soloist to sell over 1 million copies on the Hanteo charts! Jimin finally released his highly anticipated solo album FACE on March 23 KST.
As reported by the Korean tabloid Soompi, the following day, Hanteo Chart officially announced that FACE had sold an impressive total of 1,021,532 copies on March 24 alone, making it the first album by any solo artist in Hanteo history to sell over a million copies within the first day of its release.
The BTS member's 1st solo album FACE contains a total of 5 tracks including ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, ‘Like Crazy’, ‘Face-off’, ‘Interlude : Dive’, and ‘Alone’. As the report suggests, Jimin is now the artist with the fifth highest first-day sales overall, including groups, bested only by his band BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids.
Additionally, Jimin also released 2 new remixes for his album title track 'Like Crazy.' Ahead of the release, BIGHIT MUSIC had stated, “As a show of appreciation for all the love fans have already shown for Jimin’s first solo album, we will be releasing two remixes of the main track, ‘Like Crazy,’ in two different genres.”
“We hope you’ll continue to support Jimin and these exciting new remixes as he promotes his solo album,” the agency added. The two remixed versions, titled ‘Like Crazy (Deep House Remix)’ and ‘Like Crazy (UK Garage Remix),’ officially released on March 26.
Last week, Jimin appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform ‘Like Crazy.’ The performance also marked his first solo performance on US television.
