The video showcases the 27-year-old singer passionately performing the lyrics into a microphone. Translated to English, the poignant words convey Jimin's sincere emotions: "What should I say, and how should I say it? I'm not so good at this. I know it may seem cliche, but I'll try not to make it sound so light as I convey these words. I say oh oh, I want you to be happier. Whenever I stumbled and fell, you who reached out your hand to me."
This four-minute-11-second video release comes just a week before BTS's highly anticipated 10th Anniversary celebrations, marked by their annual festival FESTA. The event is scheduled to take place on June 17 in Seoul, South Korea. Currently, BTS members Jin and J-Hope are fulfilling their mandatory military service, with the band's leader, RM, set to follow suit.
Since June 2022, the seven-member boy band has been on a hiatus, and fans eagerly anticipate their return as a group, projected to occur sometime in 2025. In the meantime, Jimin's heartfelt performance of ‘Dear Army’ serves as a touching tribute to BTS and their loyal fandom, reinforcing the enduring bond between the artists and their dedicated supporters.
