Marvel fans got a nostalgic treat this week as Robert Downey Jr. reunited with several of his fellow Avengers to watch Thunderbolts, the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor, who famously portrayed Iron Man, shared a photo on Friday with Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, and Winston Duke—all of whom are set to appear in next year’s highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday.
The group attended a private screening of Thunderbolts, which introduces a gritty new team of antiheroes to the MCU. Downey captioned the photo: “Just wow!!! Dinner and a show with the Old Avengers. So cool, fresh, and deep. Big congrats to the New Avengers (and Bob). #Thunderbolts.” The six actors are seen smiling and posing with their hands shaped into a ‘T’ as a playful nod to the new team.
