Veteran actor Zeenat Aman recently shared a nostalgic moment from her 1978 film Don, recalling the making of one of its memorable scenes and expressing interest in seeing another reboot of the franchise. The actor posted a clip featuring her character Roma helping an unconscious Don escape from a hospital, offering fans a glimpse into what went on behind the scenes during the shoot.
In her caption, Zeenat described the sequence as one of Roma’s defining moments in the film. She highlighted how the character’s intelligence and daring nature made the role especially enjoyable to portray. According to her, Roma’s ability to outwit the police and take charge of a tense situation reflected the strength and confidence that made the character stand out in the story.
The actor also shared a lesser-known detail about filming the scene. While Roma appears calm and composed on screen, Zeenat revealed, “Unfortunately being smooth on set that day wasn't easy! Why, you ask. Because that relic of a wheelchair, with Mr. Bachchan's dead weight to boot, was awfully difficult to manoeuvre. I had to keep my poker face for the part, while actually pushing with all my might!”
She also spoke warmly about Roma as a character, describing her as smart, daring and composed under pressure. The role remains one of her most remembered performances from the period when she featured in several major Hindi films alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

Towards the end of her note, Zeenat shared that she would be interested in watching another reboot of Don. She mentioned that she had enjoyed the later version of the film as well and invited followers to share their thoughts on whether the franchise should return once again.
The Don franchise was successfully revived decades later by Farhan Akhtar, starring Shah Rukh Khan, with the 2006 reboot Don and its sequel Don 2, introducing the iconic character to a new generation of viewers. More recently, Ranveer Singh was expected to take the legacy forward with the next installment of the franchise. However, the project has faced multiple delays, and the actor eventually stepped away from the film. As a result, the future of the next Don chapter currently remains uncertain.
