Veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman, known for her iconic roles in Indian cinema, recently shared a heartwarming family moment with her son Zahaan Khan and his wife, Cara. In an Instagram post, Zeenat took a stroll down memory lane and revealed some intriguing details about her own wedding. The actress also spoke about the allure of grand Indian weddings, even though her own wedding had been an intimate and discreet affair.
Sharing picture featuring herself along with son Zahaan Khan and his wife Cara, Aman wrote, “My own wedding to the father of my children was a discreet affair. We eloped, and got married in Singapore in a low key ceremony with just two witnesses. But reserved as I am, I can’t deny the charm and madness of the “big Indian wedding”! The food, the music, the colours, the atmosphere of revelry - it’s infectious.”
She further added, “This picture of @zanuski , @carapiranha and I was taken at a beautiful family celebration in Delhi last week.”
The veteran actress also disclosed a delightful secret about her high-profile appearances at social gatherings. She wrote, “I’ll take this opportunity to let you in on a secret too. Most of the fancy designer outfits that I wear to such occasions are borrowed. The jewellery I have on was loaned to me by Vimal from Argentum. And this powder blue sharara was sent to me by my dear friend Mohini Chabria. It will be drycleaned and returned. I’m sharing this because I don’t want young people to feel pressured to buy new outfits or spend beyond their means just because they see celebrities in designer clothes. Whether you borrow, thrift or buy, what matters is that you don’t break your bank, and actually enjoy what you wear. And of course, in my books, comfort is key!”
She concluded by saying, “In fact, I’ve thrown out all my high heels.”

Zeenat Aman is an Indian actress and a former model. The Evil Within (1970), starring Dev Anand, marked the former beauty queen's acting debut. She has acted in films like Yaadon Ki Baarat, Qurbani, Dharam Veer, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Insaaf Ka Tarazu among others. The actress will soon return to the silver screen with Faraz Arif Ansari’s next, Bun Tikki. The film will also feature Shabana Azmi. As per reports, the plan is to take the movie on floors by November of this year in Himachal Pradesh. The director plans to talk about parenting and gender identity throughout the movie. Abhay Deol will play the role of a father in the film.
