Filmmaker Amar Kaushik’s Bala completes four years today as it had hit the theatres on November 9, 2019. The film told the sorry tale of a balding man named Bala, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, and the funny struggles he goes through. Yami Gautam Dhar played a social media sensation Pari, who marries Bala, without knowing that he is bald. But all hell breaks loose when Pari gets to know about Bala’s reality on their wedding night.

On the film’s fourth anniversary, Yami is happy to note that it is still being remembered. She said in a statement, “It's been 4 years to the release of Bala today and I couldn’t be more grateful for the love the film was showered with! What a year 2019 was… It was undoubtedly quite exciting to go from a film like Uri (The Surgical Strike) to embracing the comedy genre with Bala - all in one year! Both the films were not just successful but also good films!”

Following Bala, Yami has received appreciation in films like A Thursday, Lost, Dasvi, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga and the recent release OMG 2. Speaking about her journey so far, Yami added, “I'm so grateful for this amazing journey that I'm on and I hope to keep doing great, fulfilling work that continue to resonate with the audiences. A heartfelt thank you to all those who have kept their faith in me.”
