After wrapping Andhadhun in Poland, Ayushmann Khurrana makes some ‘Fan’tastic Polish memories

Ayushmann Khurrana, who recently wrapped up the last schedule of Sriram Raghavan’s forthcoming thriller Andhadhun in Poland, was in for a sweet surprise. The minute he stepped foot in the country, his fans were reaching out to him asking for an opportunity to meet him. He is all for his fans and despite being neck deep with work in this critical schedule, he promised to meet them at a convenient date and time.

“Ayushmann was touched with the love that his fans in Poland had for him." The informer adds, “The fans were thrilled to receive a message from Ayushmann’s team that stated details of the time and place where he would be able to meet his fans. About five of them came down to personally meet him in his hotel." This is a memory that was captured in photographs, autographs, laughter and fun filled conversations.

They were of Polish descent and were students of Indology. Though he is used to meeting Indian fans abroad, this was the first time he met European fans who could actually understand and speak Hindi fluently. The source adds, 'When Ayushmann asked them what got them to learn Hindi, they immediately replied saying it was their love for Bollywood! They were big fans of Ayushmann’s Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan and they had watched these multiple times. A fan even told him that because she now knew Hindi, she doesn’t need to watch Ayushmann’s movies with subtitles anymore and can also understand his relatable poetry!”

Ayushmann Khurrana, who has made a mark with a slice of life films, in Bollywood is all set to make his thriller debut with Sriram Raghavan's upcoming directorial Andhadhun. The actor will be seen playing a blind pianist in the film and has been taking lessons in playing the instrument for the same.

While Ayushmann makes his debut with the genre, Sriram Raghavan is known for his thrillers. The actor shared, "I have been a huge fan of Sriram Raghavan's work. He has given Indian cinema some of its best nail-biting thrillers, and it is an honour to have finally got the opportunity to collaborate with him for Andhadhun, which too, is an edge-of-the-seat roller coaster. He has the unique ability to bring out the unexplored facets of an actor. I can easily say that I have rediscovered myself as an actor under the direction of Sriram sir."

Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Andhadhun stars Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Radhika Apte. The film is slated to release on 31st August 2018.
