Saving Earth and the planet is the need of the hour and many celebrities, with each passing day, are extending their support to campaigns that aims at protecting the environment. Today, on World Environment Day, we have four prominent celebrities talking about the need to Save Planet Earth and what are the important measures they take on a day-to-day basis to help the environment. Amongst them is Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 contestant Nishant Bhat, Kundali Bhagya fame Mahira Sharma, Bigg Boss contestants Urfi Javed and Himanshi Khurana.

Believe it or not but I have always been very conscious about the environment, I try my best at ensuring I don’t waste electricity. Having the room lit with 1 led bulb not just saves my electricity consumption count but also makes the best mood lighting.

Mahira Sharma (Kundali Bhagya)
I have minimized the use of electricity by installing energy saving electric equipment at home. I have also planted a lot of trees at my place in Chandigarh and I feel it's really important to do that as it helps the environment as well as helps us to stay healthy.

Urfi Javed (Bigg Boss OTT)
I have always been very cautious about the things I do. I always take climate conscious decision that promote and help sustainability. I make sure to use reusable containers whenever possible, also I strongly believe in wearing sustainable fashion.

Himanshi Khurana (Bigg Boss 13)
I believe being mindful even in the smallest things that you do is very important for saving our environment - such as turning off electric switches on time, avoiding over charging your electronics such as your smartphones, laptops, etc. Also you should actively work on creating and spreading awareness about saving our environment. And that is the reason when Sadhguru started Save Soil Initiative, I decided to be a part of it, because such initiatives work for a greater cause and help in saving our environment.
