Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Tusshar Kapoor, Yashpal Sharma, Johny Lever, Aftab Shivdasani, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Puneet Issar, dialogue writer Farhad Samji, director Ahmed Khan, producer Ajit Andhare and co-producer Shaira Ahmed Khan attended the trailer of Welcome To The Jungle at a studio in Mumbai. The venue resembled a jungle, complete with a stunning, albeit fake, waterfall that enhanced the atmosphere. The film reunites Akshay and Raveena after a long gap and Akshay spoke about it.
Akshay Kumar was asked about the changes he saw in Raveena Tandon while working with her on Welcome To The Jungle. Akshay went down memory lane as he said, “She’s been very, very professional. I still remember we were shooting for a film. Only 25-30 minutes were remaining for sunset. The green room was very far and she had to quickly change and come before the light would fade. It would have been impossible for her to make it in time.”
Akshay then revealed that Raveena did the unthinkable. He revealed, “I still remember that she went to the generator van and wahan fatafat kapde change kar ke aayi.”
Akshay Kumar then raised laughs as he referred to Raveena Tandon’s actress-daughter, Rasha Thadani, “And a lot of other changes happened. She’s a brilliant actor. Ek aur cheez jo badli hai. Pehle heroine thi. Ab heroine ki maa hai!”
The other interesting bit at the trailer launch of Welcome To The Jungle was the late Neeraj Vora being remembered by Ahmed Khan and Akshay Kumar. The legendary deceased writer wrote the story of Welcome To The Jungle.
Welcome To The Jungle releases in cinemas on June 26.
