Akshay Kumar, Bollywood’s most bankable actor, is definitely enjoying the success of his latest released film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Within four days of its release, the film already has earned Rs 63.45 crores at the domestic box office. As the film is just growing and reaching the masses, Akshay Kumar made a heartfelt video thanking everyone for making the film a success.
On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar thanked everyone for tremendous support to the film and the aim behind it. Akshay even thanked the people who disliked the film but highlighted the open defecation problem in India. Taking this opportunity, Akshay spoke about the open defecation problem in India. He mentioned that when they were filming the movie, open defecation by Indian population was around 54 percent. Now, it has reduced to 34 percent. Akshay kept stressing that the discussion about the importance of toilets should keep on going as they will try to reduce this problem in India.
Towards the end of the video, Akshay Kumar also thanked his friend Hrithik Roshan and said, “The ones who have watched it will know why, and the ones who have not please go and watch it and know why.”
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has now resumed shooting of Reema Kagti‘s directorial Gold. The film also marks the debut of TV actress Mouni Roy. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the film is scheduled to release on August 15, 2018.
